My love, thoughts and pure sadness all this week have been with Lucie and all the wonderous family. Like all that knew Dave that very special man with that always special twinkle of the eye. It was an honour and pleasure to have had him in my life,always a joy to be with and admired for his zest of life throughout. Will be sadly missed by the many aswel as myself. My sincere condolences to the entire Warring family. Dave was a great man who always had time to joke around with the kids in the neighbourhood and from whom I never heard a negative word.
I am also thankful that he was such a great friend to my Dad.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Ne pouvant me joindre à toi, à vous, je t'envoie ces quelques mots pour t'offrir mes sincères condoléances à toi et à ta famille pour le décès de ton chéri, Dave. Que l'Esprit saint soit au rendez-vous de ces jours intenses et ceux qui suivront. Que la paix habite ton cœur et celui des tiens tout en le sachant bien accueilli par là où le Seigneur l'attendait.
Tu te rappelles comment ça avait été touchant lorsque je lui avais parlé, cet été au rassemblement des Courchesne. Cette rencontre m'a habitée longtemps. Je lisais l'avis de décès avec beaucoup d'attention et j'ai découvert un homme proche des siens et dégageant de grandes valeurs. Je tiens à rendre grâces pour tout cet accompagnement intense que tu as su lui donner d'un cœur grand comme l'amour que tu lui portais.
Prends soin de toi, maintenant. Laisse-toi aimer par les gens qui t'entourent. Que le Seigneur te bénisse et te couvre de ses grands bras de tendresse.

The fishing trips will never be the same. So sad to hear that Dave lost his battle with cancer. Marissa and I will say a special prayer for Dave and we will never forget his kindness and sense of humour. Our thoughts are with the entire family and all of Dave's many, many friends at this very sad time.

I often think of Dave. I learned many lessons from him, work ethic, fairness and how to keep a cool head and just get the job done. It's been 32 years since he last said to me, with his dry wit, as I was getting into my truck to make the day's deliveries, "Take your time going, but hurry back". My dad often said he couldn't have operated without him. Lucie, Allan and Bob, he was a great man, and he always has and always will be with me.

Loved our David the first day I met him over 1/2 a century ago. Will carry him in my heart until we meet up again.
